It is difficult to believe that I am on my last day of the Asia Pacific Microsoft Partners in Learning Education Forum. I had hoped to document each day’s activities for all to read, but we were kept very busy. I will add a few entries over the next little while that will showcase my experience.
Monday, March 8 we were treated to a tour of the Classroom of the Future at the National Institute of Education. Our tour guide, Chris, took us on a little journey into what would be an ideal 21st century learning experience. We started in
a little cafe setting where we were given a personal tablet that allowed us to connect to other people around the globe, scan electronic signs and save the information into our personal calendar, interact with others and share our files and experiences with anyone we choose. Although it was a futuristic look into a classroom, we have the ability now to connect globally and collaborate electronically. The tour wasn’t just about the technology, but the concept of a connected world.
